Bay Whiff
Citharichthys spilopterus
Bay whiffs, like other flatfish, have both eyes and all their color on one side. That's the up side when they swim, and for bay whiffs, that's always the left side since they're part of the left-sided flatfish family. These little flatfish, just six inches long, live from brackish estuaries to the open Gulf.
