Yellowfin Tuna
Thunnus albacares
Yellowfin tuna are big fish—some reach six feet and more than 400 pounds. These fish are all muscle, built up by swimming at high speeds for long distances in the offshore Gulf. The yellow markings on their sides and fins gave yellowfin tuna their name.
