Nilgai Antelope Safari

Nilgai Antelope hail from southeast Asia and can top the scales at 600 lbs. Nilgai bulls are challenging to hunt and delicious to eat.

2019 winner, Carrie McCoy, brought her husband, Robert, and sons (ages 7 and 10) to the hunt and gave the hunt opportunity to her boys. Both boys did an excellent job and each shot a nice nilgai bull. Way to go Mom and sons!

Nilgai can weigh up to 700 lbs., stand 4'5” at shoulder and be up to 6.6 ft long.
Nilgai are challenging to hunt, they have good eyesight, hearing and sense of smell and spook easily.
Nilgai Antelope, also known as the Blue Bulls, were first introduced to Texas in the 1920s. Dominant males typically become very dark, taking on a blackish and blueish hue.
