The Great Plains (GP) EFIT Flow-Ecology Dashboard

Picture of the GP EFIT, under construction, flow-ecology Dashboard user interface. The GP EFIT Flow-Ecology Dashboard serves similar information as the Hydrology Dashboard but uses different approaches for calculating flow targets, attainment frequencies, and flow deficits to focus on the streamflow needs of Texas aquatic species. Flow-ecology relationships were generated through the implementation of random forest models by pairing fish occurrence data with USGS gage hydrologic summaries. Flow targets for each species and metric were then derived from the partial dependence plots from the random forest models. The Flow-Ecology Dashboard, under development at this time, will serve flow targets, attainment frequencies, and flow deficits to facilitate an evaluation of flow management strategies focused on specific species and basins.
