Eighteen shelters are in the Hen House Ridge Unit, and 20 are in the Walnut Ridge Unit. The units are about four miles apart. Eight-person maximum occupancy, including children. Tents are allowed outside the shelter; RVs are not allowed. Cooking and smoking are not allowed inside the shelters. Pets are not permitted in any Texas State Park building, including shelters.
