Wildlife Diversity Permits

Permits are required to possess, display, care for, propagate, collect, transport or sell protected wildlife species.

Research and/or collections in state parks or state natural areas require a different permit. Visit the State Park Scientific Study Permit page for information.

Permits Provided by TPWD

The links below provide information on various permits issued by the Wildlife Division of Texas Parks and Wildlife. If you would like to apply for one of these permits, download and complete the appropriate document(s). Only hard copy applications with original signatures will be accepted.

Please expect a processing time of approximately 3 months for most Wildlife Permits. Applications and email communications are addressed on a first-in-first-out basis, so please plan accordingly.
